Miss American Fido is a comedy spoof of American Idol. It is also spoofs fantastic 1970s variety shows, such as Donny and Marie, Sonny and Cher and the Carole Burnette Show. Miss American Fido has a rousing opening number (complete with an unrehearsed tap dance performance), a medley"I'm a Little Bit Punk Rock (and I'm A Little Bit Opera) and of course, the famous closing number "There's No Place Like San Francisco", written by the host, Mark Tyne, himself!
When the "Worst Act of the Night" is crowned, Miss American Fido spoofs the Miss America contest with our own version of the "There She Is, Miss American Fido" as the "Worst Act of the Night" receives a tiara, cloak, sash and bouquet of roses and walks the red carpet waving to the audience like Lady Di, to celebrate his/her victory.
